After getting kicked out of the waitress' apartment, Todd spends the night on the streets and in the morning fights off a mugger who was going after a blind woman, named Sara. Todd helps her home.

Sara listens to Todd's story filled with half truths and encourages him to return to the woman he loves. She gives him the keys to her late husband's car.

Todd makes his way back to Llanview & discovers Rebecca will be going to a spring dance with Powell Lord |
