Marty finds Todd at the docks, devastated over the loss of his son &
stops him from possibly taking his life.

Todd tries to stop Marty from drinking &
they talk about what's gone wrong in their lives

Todd wanted to take Marty home, but she refused. Todd sat in his limo outside her house waiting for her to get home and remembering their past.

After stopping David from making a move on Marty, Todd takes Marty inside and they talk

 
Todd wants to stay the night, to be there this time if she needs something.
Marty tells Todd she's not afraid anymore.
