After disappearing with Tea from Llanview, Todd walks into the Black Dawn Bar somewhere in Ohio and sees a flyer announcing, Jessica, is scheduled to sing with her band. After a run in with Blair and Max who were also at the bar, ..... He videotapes Jessica's act and later finds out from Jessica, that Viki has breast cancer. Todd wastes no more time and heads back to Llanview to first see Sam concerning his legal troubles. Sam isn't open to helping Todd because of what Todd did to him and everyone else before he left town the last time. Todd then surprises Viki with a visit and shows her the video tape of Jessica and Viki is happy to know Jess is ok and where she is. Todd tells Viki he doesn't want her to die of cancer. Viki asks about Tea, and Todd tells her he doesn't know where Tea is and he doesn't care. Viki becomes upset and tells Todd she can't deal with him and his problems, she needs all her strength to battle the cancer. She has a breakdown when she sees a handful of hair and Todd doesn't know what to do at first, but he stays and tries to comfort his sister.
