Todd miraculously survived being shot in Ireland and found his way back home to Llanview. He finally made it known to Blair that he was alive. Seeing Todd was a huge shock to Blair. Todd knew Patrick was in Blair's life, and he grew bitter and angry when Blair refused to tell him the truth, that she slept with Patrick Thornhart, the man Todd took that bullet for in Ireland. Todd may have been able to forgive Blair for moving on, but the fact that she continued to lie to Todd drove a wedge between what should have been a happier reunion.

Clip #11 Todd returns to the Sun

Briggs is glad to see Todd is back, and Todd tells Briggs Mrs. Manning is no longer in charge of things, he is. He Orders Briggs to rewrite the headline story and later stirs up more trouble when he demands Cassie dig up dirt on the Buchanans,
namely, her husband, Kevin Buchanan if she wants to keep her job at the Sun. When Cassie refuses, Todd says You're Fired! ......and Kevin pays Uncle Todd a visit.

Blair tries to defend Kevin and then asks Todd to think of their family, and friends, and Todd begins to think of Patrick Thornhart. Todd asks again about Blair and Patrick, and Blair says they only have a friendship. Todd remembers seeing Blair & Patrick and tells Blair he has important business to do. Todd calls his attorney, Conrad, to set up a divorce
