Emmy Month Fan Art Lesson #10

Let's make an Emmy globe!

You'll need to download these tubes....
(to download, click on the graphic and then save to your hard drive.)

And you can choose from these tubes for your image.

Install your tubes, as we've done in previous lessons.

Now start a new file in Paint Shop Pro, and make the size 319x392

First, we'll add the Emmy tube. Now go to layers, and create a new raster layer. Now add your tube of Paul. Since it's a separate layer, you can move it around and place it where you want. It should go over the circle the Emmy statue is holding. When you have it placed where you want it, go ahead and merge VISIBLE.

Now we'll add the yellow orb on top of the circle of Paul. You'll need to resize this tube to make it fit. Remember, you do that by adjusting the scale.

Make a new raster layer, and then place the yellow orb on top of the circle of Paul. You can click edit and undo picture tube until you have it the right size, and placed correctly. You don't want any of the yellow orb to be showing around the circle, or it will come up looking odd in the finished project. When you have it the right size and place, merge visible again.

Now you can crop the image so that you don't have too much blank area around it.

We are going to make an animated globe, so we need to make copies of this image. To do that hit shift+D twice. Now you should have three images.

Let's add the twinkles now. You will need to resize the twinkle tube also. I set mine to 18. Place the twinkles in the circle on each image. You can use just a few, or alot. But you want to still be able to see Roger! And you want to place them in different places on each image, so that they will have that "snowglobe" effect. Now save each image, and then open up Animation Shop.

We'll use the animation wizard, so if you need to, you can refer to Lesson 7 for instructions.

And this is the finished project!

Congratulations!! You've made a globe!
