Now we'll do the spring-y picture!

Here are your two background images.

And here are your pics of Roger to chose from.

First, open up your two background images. Now open a new image,
setting it the size you'd like.

Now we're going to fill the image with the yellow background. To do this,
over on the right side you have your color buttons. On the top one, click it
and hold your mouse down. From the little bar, select the one with the dots.
It's the pattern one. Now select the yellow background.

Fill your image. Now we're going to add the floral background on top.
Add a new layer. Now using the selection too (left hand toolbar, 6th one
down-it's a rectangle) you need to choose rectangle. Now draw your
rectangle by holding and dragging the mouse. You want your rectangle to
be smaller than the yellow, so that the yellow will look like a frame around
the floral background. Now fill your rectangle with the floral background.
(the same way you added the yellow background) Now click on the
selection button again, and then point your mouse over the floral image,
and right click to get rid of the marching ants.

Now open up one of your pictures of Roger. Copy it, and paste as new layer
onto your image. Move it to the front if you need to. Now using the deformation
tool, resize it, and place it in the center.

Open up your second pic of Roger. We need to resize it. So click image, and
then resize. I made mine 15 percent of the original.

Now make a new raster layer. Copy the small pic, and paste as NEW
SELECTION. It will have the marching ants around it. We're going to use
this pic to make a border around the bigger one. So click and hold the mouse
to move it, and place it on the top left corner of the big pic. Click on the selection
tool (the rectangle one), and then right click the small image to get rid of
the marching ants. Now repeat the process of pasting as new selection, and
arranging the little pic around the big one. You could leave the border like
that if you want. But I'm going to add a texture effect. I've chosen to use
"tiles". It looks like this.

I've also decided to use the brightness/contrast to lighten up the center pic.
Now I want to make the yellow background look more like a frame. So
find that layer, and use the "buttonize" effect.

If you like the way your image looks, go ahead and merge all layers. I'm not
too sure if I want to leave the tiled border. If you want to remove it, select
that layer, and delete it. You can do that by clicking on that little trash can
in your layer palette. You can also click the little glasses to see what it will
look like with that layer gone before you delete it.

Merge your layers, and you're done! Great job!!
